Will Smith Denies Emanicptaion "Joke" As Truth

Yesterday the world wide web was buzzing with yet another Smith family parenting claim. This time around Will Smith was misquoted saying that son Jaden Smith wanted to become emancipated for his 15th birthday while seeming as if  he was down with the idea.

In a new interview with The Sun, Will Smith reveals that his 14-year-old son and After Earth costar recently told him that he wants legal freedom and independence from him and Jada Pinkett so he can buy his own house and live alone – and RadarOnline.com has the details.
Will explains that Jaden, who will be celebrating his 15th birthday in July and isclose pals with 19-year-old Justin Bieber, asked for a very unique gift.
“He says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ‘Ooh,’” Will explained.
“That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.”

Now how easy was it to run with that? I guess as easy as it is to deny what it implies...

Anywho, I wanted to post about this yesterday when it was all the rage but I just knew a denial or 1000 word essay from Jada Pinkett Smith via Facebook was coming and wanted to consolidate pointless posts.
Now today, just one day later, Will and son Jaden appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote their new film After Earth where the two laugh off the idea of emancipation. In fact they make fun of the thought before they hurrily actually deny it.

This is great media grooming by the Smiths. I bet you actually believe Will and Jaden.
