It's no secret (if you read this blog) that Janet Jackson is by far one of a few of my favorite entertainers so it was with great sadness to hear she is being tested for throat cancer according to Yahoo! News . Recently Janet had to postpone a few dates on the second leg of her Unbreakable World Tour beginning this week (Jan 9) because she was in need of surgery of some sort. Janet confirmed the news via her website. “I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the ‘Unbreakable Tour’ until the spring. “Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time…There will be no further comment.” “Hey you guys…Happy Holidays to each and every one of you!  Sources close to the situation have added that Janet plans to return to touring this summer after a break to recover. My ultimate favorite entertainer of ALL time Janet Jackson now has the honor of being nominated to be inducted into the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame . It's been a long successful journey for Miss Jackson , who debuted her first album in 1982, which in my opinion concludes that she is beyond worthy to be inducted into the famed. Along with Janet's nomination also came one for the legendary Chaka Khan and rap group N.W.A . Congrats to all those nominated and I cannot wait until December when we find out who gets inducted.

Yesterday marked 14 years since the tragic passing of Aaliyah . Though I've never met her, I believe every beautiful word that I hear about her from those who have. Last night at the BET Awards Janet Jackson , 49, gave us janet.   era hair along with her never aging beauty and youthful smile. Janet was awarded the first ever Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award at the awards show held in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium. Jackson received a dance inspired tribute from Jason Derulo , Tinashe and Ciara before she accepted her award. During her acceptance speech she thanked her fans and parents. "I'm so grateful for the support you've always given me, to my beautiful father and my beautiful mother," the singer said, looking out at her parents sitting in the audience.  - Source Also in Janet news, the singer announced her 36-date Unbreakable World Tour which kicks off in August. Along with that news came the release of a new song last week "No Sleep" from her highly anticipated album. It's only been seven years!!

Janet Jackson is returning to the stage with  36 tour dates starting in August just 7-years since her last studio album. The Unbreakable World Tour  tickets will go on sale Monday, June 22. The singer also made her new album available for pre-order in some ticket packages. Jackson confirmed long-rumored new music in a cryptic video on the day of her 49th birthday last month. “I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” she said, after  shutting down speculation last year . “This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. Had Janet never have done this pose on the cover of  Rolling Stone nor nude photos of Teyana ever surfaced around the 'net this could have been a Yay butttttt this should have never been recreated.  Her body is banging and she's a nice looking girl but the public wants more boo . I was hoping the jump over to G.O.O.D Music would turn the tables in Teyana's career but stunts like this leave a bad taste in folks mouths about Teyana. This is how you stay in your lane.... Everyone knows Janet Jackson as the sexy entertainer that she is so why would you think she would change at 45?! This outfit is a perfect demonstration of dressing your age but still being sexy. I can see how this outfit may be a in frown in some eyes, I wouldn't wear it, but I say Janet is working the hell out of this Haider Ackrerman look at the 2011 amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala. That's the funny and perfect thing about fashion, you can make it your own fitting to your style preference and with the charm of confidence it can be a hit. What works for you may not work for the next person, that doesn't mean it's not hot because you don't like it, it's just not your cup of tea. Very sophisticated chic, Miss Jackson.

My favorite entertainer of ALL time was born... Happy 45th birthday to my Janet!!! The Velvet Rope along with Rhythm Nation was my favorite Janet era...I'll do a dance in Janet Damita Jo Jackson's honor on this day lol and after all these years and albums,,, ...my boo still looks good!! 

Lucky for me one of my Twitter peeps put me on to her performance before it was too late but not late enough to get my party on. Ms. Jackson did her THANG and I danced along with her which made me feel like I was 40 years old.
