Last night at the BET Awards Janet Jackson , 49, gave us janet.   era hair along with her never aging beauty and youthful smile. Janet was awarded the first ever Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award at the awards show held in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium. Jackson received a dance inspired tribute from Jason Derulo , Tinashe and Ciara before she accepted her award. During her acceptance speech she thanked her fans and parents. "I'm so grateful for the support you've always given me, to my beautiful father and my beautiful mother," the singer said, looking out at her parents sitting in the audience.  - Source Also in Janet news, the singer announced her 36-date Unbreakable World Tour which kicks off in August. Along with that news came the release of a new song last week "No Sleep" from her highly anticipated album. It's only been seven years!!

Janet Jackson is returning to the stage with  36 tour dates starting in August just 7-years since her last studio album. The Unbreakable World Tour  tickets will go on sale Monday, June 22. The singer also made her new album available for pre-order in some ticket packages. Jackson confirmed long-rumored new music in a cryptic video on the day of her 49th birthday last month. “I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” she said, after  shutting down speculation last year . “This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. The rumors have been swirling about an upcoming Mr. & Mrs. Carter tour this summer featuring Jay Z and Beyonce . Since the rumors landed they've been picking up speed with details of a 20-city tour beginning in Atlanta on June 13 also featuring a Rose Bowl performance which takes them to Pasadena. Yesterday Pasadena City officials approved a proposed concert at the Rose Bowl for Jay and Bey due to the stadium only allowing 12 acts to perform without approval when they already had 17 lined up. According to Page Six they are!! Jay Z  and  Beyoncé  are launching a stadium tour together after appearing as surprise guests at each other’s gigs recently. Sources exclusively tell Page Six that  hip hop’s royal couple  plans to announce a 20-stadium US tour that will start in late June — and that it’s possible the couple could perform in New York on July 4. How couldn't this work? The two are the best in the respected genres and can sell out a stadium. Why not keep the dough in house? Both Jay Z and Bey know how to market themselves and keep us guessing a joint tour would be beyond epic.
