Mariah Carey stunned NYC train riders (as she made them relocate to a different car... probably ) when she decked out in a pageant esque Versace gown, Jermaine Dupri and BET exec Stephen Hill caught the subway after Carey hosted the Fresh Ar Fund Gala last night. This little  photo opt   public transportation outing could have been a home run had their actually seemed like people were aboard the train and Mimi had her look together. I don't care if she's in a Man Up Above gown and how many diamonds she's rocking this woman looks as if she's retaining fluid while being a bit over the top whacked out her mind. Oh, NO...say it ain't so!! Both sisters?!! Yep, both tennis greats Venus and Serena Williams on yesterday fell to the demise of their opponents during the French Open. Serena, the French Open's defending champ, lost in the second round to  Garbine Muguruza  of Spain. Sister Venus also was defeated yesterday by  Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia  just before her sister played her disappointing match. The two sisters were expected by many to make it to the end for a Williams vs. Williams match. This setback for the Williams sisters just may be affording them the opportunity for a mega comeback. You can't win 'em all. With that said, I congratulate the Williams sisters on their successes and the history they've made over the years and I believe for many years to come. They're still champs in my eyes...black girls rock!!

This dude isn't that bad as a rapper...I've heard far worst get more airplay. But circumstances surrounding JoJo 's personal  life, including his brother Diggy 's career, has almost fogged any chances of anyone taking him seriously as a lyricist. All 67 editions of Cosmo magazine will the feature the face of blue-eyed beauty Katy Perry. This is the first stunt of this sort in Cosmopolitan magazine history. Katy is the "first-ever global super star" for the mag. If you're wondering why Katy then you'll have to get that info from the mag's EIC Joanna Coles .  “She crosses all cultural boundaries. Her music is soulful and empowering in equal measure.  She’s the first Cosmo global icon.”  In total there seems to be three different looks on the magazine covers with minimal color and pose change. World-renowned poetess, author, activist and overall phenomenal woman Maya Angelou has died at the age of 86. (CNN)  -- Maya Angelou, a renowned poet, novelist and actress whose work defied description under a simple label, has died, her literary agent, Helen Brann, said Wednesday. She died at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Brann said. I know for a fact Ms. Angelou's legacy and works will live on in honor of her presence in our lifetime.
