Johnny Gill Suing Bev Hills Four Seasons After Beat Down
Johnny Gill is reportedly suing the posh Beverly Hills Four Season Hotel because he alleges that they failed to protect him against a racist Caucasian patron who physically and verbally assaulted him. According to Gill, the assault occurred on August 23, 2011. In the lawsuit, which the New Edition member filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Gill states that he was conversing with friends in the dining/cocktail area of the hotel at about 11 p.m. on the night of the altercation. Without provocation, an unnamed Caucasian assailant allegedly began hurling racially inflammatory remarks at the performer. When Gill reportedly tried to fend off the altercation, the stranger allegedly pushed him with such brute force that he wound up getting slammed against a heated lamp that resulted in not only extensive bodily injury but pain and suffering.
