Word on the elite streets is that Solange Knowles and her 51-year-old beau  Alan Ferguson are planning to tie the knot tomorrow in New Orleans which is to also feature what is being dubbed a weekend celebration starting tonight. Straight from K. Michelle 's mouth has came confirmation that the singer will appear on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood . K is no stranger to the franchise having appeared on the New York and Atlanta series shows as well as the working relationship she has with the show creator Mona Scott Young who happens to also co-manage her singing career. Anywho, I will admit I was a bit stunned by this news AT FIRST being as though K. Michelle as of this week has her own reality show appearing on VH1 but after reading K's statement about her appearance on the show I think differently. “There are lot of women on there who are at a place that I was in. I just think it’s really good, I feel like, for me to go in and talk to those women and offer a shoulder,” K.Michelle said during a VH1.com Google Hangout. Didn't I see K. Michelle on the debut episode of her reality show earlier this week (Nov 3) almost get into a physical altercation with her friend? Yeah, I did.

Finally we can all see the super talented  Quvenzhane Wallis as Little Orphan Annie !! Although the remake includes most of the characters and storyline as the original film and Broadway musical, fans will notice a few differences in the new version. Most notably to the naked eye viewers will notice that Annie is African American. Be sure to support this film also starring Cameron Diaz and Jaime Foxx brought to you by producers Jay Z , Will Smith and J ada Pinkett Smith on December 19 when it hits theatres.

Kelly Rowland and her husband Tim Witherspoon as of  1:30 pm yesterday (Nov 4) are the proud parents to a baby boy. A "thrilled" Kelly released a statement confirming the birth of  her first child. "We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son," The bouncing baby boy is Ti Jewell Witherspoont  coming who made his debut weighing in at 7.5 lbs. "We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!” Congrats to the Witherspoons!!

Over two decades Sister 2 Sister magazine has been a staple among African American readers serving as one of the go to media publications when you're wanting the deets on African American celebrities and newsworthy stories. Today with a great deal of sadness I learned the magazine has gone digital with the imply of coming back to a newsstand near you sooner than later. Founder Jamie Foster Brown has issued a promising statement for devoted readers who are saddened by this news. “For our readers who still love the print-edition of Sister 2 Sister, the magazine is not going away,”  Sister 2 Sister's founder and publisher Jamie Foster Brown said in a statement to  TheWrap . “We are putting it on hiatus while we reorganize to embrace the digital age for our subscribers and advertisers. We remain as dedicated to our mission today as we were 26 years ago.” I know that times are changing  and just about everything is "digital" these days but Brown's decision

If you're not busy this Saturday and happen to be in London looking for someone to sell you a couple of lies you may want to check out Kim and Khloe Kardashian as they yet again endorse a brand for a couple of dollars. I find it rather comical that creators/owners of Hairfinity, who has a number of good and bad reviews, would enlist folks like the Kardashians to promote their already somewhat questionable brand. I say questionable only because of the celebrities that promote Hairfinity (most of ATL) and the sketchy reviews. Most celebrities that promote the brand are weave wearers or have what I deem naturally long hair or you have regular people who swear they broke out in hives when taking the vitamins. I guess I just don't buy the entire Atlanta reality show circuit promoting this brand...and now the Kardashians. I was almost aboard the Hairfinity train simply to TRY it until these two came along but IF this product is what helped Kimmy's edges
