Kelly Rowland Reportedly Cancels 'Lights Out' Tour For 'X Factor' Gig

Last night was Kelly Rowland's first day on the job as one of  X Factor's third season newest judges alongside new comer Paula Rubio, Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato. Kelly and Paula were brought on board to replace last season judges my fav L.A. Reid and Britney Spears.

The news of Kelly's new gig was announced just a few days ago leaving someone like me who doesn't watch this show to believe her new gig wouldn't start until maybe like fall but boy was I wrong. Well I was kinda right and wrong. The show will start in September but they are now in audition mode with their first stop being Charleston, SC.

The news of Kelly's Lights Out Tour being canceled was not announced by Kelly or her touring mate The Dream but by a venue the two were scheduled to appear at in Kansas City, MO.

Is this such a good idea for Kelly to take on such a role when she is about release a new album in June? Kelly was slated to appear alongside one of her album producers The Dream on the lights out tour but that has now allegedly been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts in an effort for her to focus on her new gig as a judge on X Factor. Although Kelly is no stranger to X Factor, having been a judge on the British version, I'm sure she knows the routine but I'd still like to see her  focusing on her music career fully right now and not judging someone else's.

There's still no word from Kelly nor The Dream but many of the dates on the tour conflict with audition dates on X Factor so we shall see.

UPDATE: Kelly's Baltimore show is still on...I guess the entire tour hasn't been canceled.
