Pharrell Teams Up With Karl Lagerfeld For Chanel Film

Karl Lagerfeld, who I deem fashion royalty, has teamed up with music's savior of the moment Pharrell Williams for a Chanel film.

WWD has learned that Karl Lagerfeld directed the musician in his latest movie, to be screened in tandem with the Paris-Salzburg pre-fall collection the designer plans to parade on Dec. 2. Filming took place in a Paris studio last week, with Cara Delevingne and six-year-old Hudson Kroenig among Williams’ costars and dance partners, Lagerfeld said. Chanel’s next Métiers d’art collection is to be unveiled at the Schloss Leopoldskron, an 18th-century Rococo palace that is considered one of the finest in Austria.
