While co-hosting/standing in/taking Keisha Chante 's place on BET's 106 & Park Chris Brown 's on-again/off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran committed social suicide when she read a badly played out joke regarding Beyonce and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy. “I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair.” I would have never read that and  been known as the girl who lost her gig for standing up to BET instead of now becoming the newest victim of the Killer Beys  #BeyHive. I blame BET for dayum near setting her up but I blame her common sense for her part. Now y'all know I LOVE me some Beyoncé and Blue Ivy! I didn't write this script y'all lol — Karrueche Tran (@karrueche) August 25, 2014 How dumb. I am definitely team #BeyHive ❤️ — Karrueche Tran (@karrueche) August 25, 2014 You just got voted out, Hun.

Things have been shaky around BET's 106 & Park for a while now with the release of  last year's new co-hosts leaving Bow Wow all by his lonesome to hold the show down. Things looked to be heading in the right direction over the summer when Bow's ex Angela Simmons became a fixture on set only to find out she would only be an interim host for the summer. Now that summer is over a new host has been announced and she's no stranger to the BET fam. Keshia Chante is a Toronto native singer ("Does He Love Me?") with personal ties to fellow Canadian Drake who helped Keshia make the big announcement last week during a visit to the show. Keshia has been filling in for Simmons while she was absent from the show and obviously made a great impression on show producers and viewers. She's a pretty girl. Hopefully the show will serve as a tool to advance her singing career as well.

Late last year BET came up with the awesome idea to replace departing 106 & Park veteran hosts Terrence Jenkins and Rocsi Diaz with not two but 4 new co-hosts including rapper/actor Bow Wow . Shortly after their awkward debut people began to pick their favs and state why they hated who they hated. Not knowing if that played a role or not in the show's reconstruction but right as the weather began to break in the Spring of this year 3 out of the 4 co-hosts were visibly absent leaving Bow Wow all by his lonesome. Well he wasn't that lonely, left to stand beside a few female guest co-hosts like Adrienne Bailon and Angela Simmons who obviously was a crowd fav because she is still there today until the end of the summer per BET. Anywho, Ebony.com set out to shed some light on the situation that took BET months to address  with booted co-host Miss Mykie (the one with that fauxhawk). As one of four new hosts picked out of thousands—along with Bow Wow a...

Yesterday was a big day for DMV native rapper Wale but this is also a big week for Wale as well. With the release of his third studio album The Gifted dropping yesterday Wale and his team has been doing crazy press in anticipation for the album's drop for a while now but most notably since the weekend and into this week in DC and NYC promoting his new musical effort. Check out a compilation of a few of his stops including a sit down with hip hop journalist extraordinaire  Elliott Wilson at the Howard Theatre in DC as well as stops by The Breakfast Club in NYC and even an interview with his manager Rich Kleiman at the Roc Nation offices...big things! Quite a few familiar faces from the DMV... Source  Great in depth interview...informative and funny.         Very decent promotion on behalf of Wale and his team. Now, did you get your copy? Let's see if we can get Wale to that No. 1 spot next week...the album is hott! ...

If BET in fact is in fact trying to replace 3 of their new co-hosts I am hoping Draya is NOT a prospect...especially after her debut yesterday.         Draya should stick to Instagram and reality shows definitely not anything that requires sho nuff talent. Now I will say I vote for Angela Simmons to become a co-host, who has been filling in a lot lately, alongside her ex/on again/off again boyfriend Bow Wow but couldn't that get messy after a while together or not? Two of the current co-hosts are dating now. Could this be an issue worth firing over? Doubt it. All these people on one stage simply don't mesh well together and I've said it before Shorty Da Prince doesn't seem that fond of Bow Wow and it shows...well to me it does. Anywho, I really don't care unless some drama is involved. This isn't Dateline or anything.

Earlier yesterday Ray J appeared humble and well spoken on The Wendy Williams Show where he admitted his new song I Hit It First was about Kim Kardashian , talked about his new hosting gig on Oxygen and a more ish I can't remember. Hours later (or maybe days shows may have been taped) on 106 & Park Ray debuted his video for " I Hit It First " with his Kim K look a like in tow. Oh yeah, he's back to denying the song is about Kim not even trying to mention her name...that Kris Jenner cease and desist letter must have arrived. " The song is about something I did !." - RN Why the title change? Ray J is even traveling with his Kimmy look alike... She looks like a Jersey housewife NOT Kim. Great thing about this whole thing, Ray J promises more songs with substance are to come on his new album...was this great marketing or another lame attempt to be seen?

A dapper Tyler Perry was spotted on the streets of NYC after his appearance on the Today Show this morning promoting his new action movie Alex Cross where he will play Alex Cross himself. I simply love well tailored casual dress looks such as this blue number Tyler is sporting...very fitting for the occassion. Anywho, Just yesterday Tyler stopped by BET's 106 & Park , just as R&B singer Brandy did, to promote his new project.             Will you be checking out Alex Cross this weekend?

On the promotion trail for her new album, Two Eleven , a glammed up Brandy stopped by BET's 106 & Park yesterday which was also her album release date where she talked about her new album, of course, and her wanting to work with Beyonce , Sade , Meek Mill and Big Sean . Check out some footage!             For you early risers be sure to check out Good Morning America tomorrow where Brandy will be performing.

Rapper Bow Wow along with 3 other people, one male and two women, were announced to be the new hosts of BET's music countdown show 106 & Park. As you should already know Terrence J(enkins) and Rocsi Diaz announced a few months back that they would be departing with no definite date announced but shortly after began the hunt for the new co-host similar to how the two got their hosting gigs. During that time Bow Wow was never mentioned to be in the running tochosen but I guess BET had a surprise up their sleeve. Before I introduce the new hosts here's some pics of Friday's farewell show in honor of Terrence J, who will be joining the E! News family, and Rocsi, who is "moving to LA", hosted by LaLa Anthony and Pooch Hall both of whom are great friends with Terrance. The show was evident to be very emotional but the appearance of Terrance J's mom presenting him and Rocsi a plaque served to be an even greater tear je...

Kanye West did not accompany his G.O.O.D Music artist to 106 & Park yesterday but his presence was felt through recorded footage. West spoke via video about, what else, the Cruel Summer project which included speaking on the process of making the collaborative album.

Check out the full episode of BET's 106 7 Park yesterday where the G.O.O.D Music family (sans Kanye West ) talk about their collaborative album, Cruel Summer , as well as their solo projects and perform tracks off their debut album.

What would be totally awesome, and sickening to many, is if Eddie Murphy 's daughter, Bria Murphy , actually replaced his current girlfriend, Rocsi Diaz , on BET's 106 & Park . How awesome of an urban news day would THAT be?!!               Bria's "All of you need to step your game up and get some Dark & Lovely." comment could've been taken to be really shady even though I knew she wasn't meaning it to be that way. Although I love the thought of the drama it would cause if Bria got the gig I have to say I think she should stick to her day job...modeling. She's a well spoken beautiful girl but I like her better sans the umbre blonde weave midriff showing tight jeans. I just wasn't buying her as a host, she didn't seem as comfy and quick on her feet as a host should. That Dark & Lovely comment, who Bria models for, was an example of her rawness to this field. But again, if she were to get the gig I bet ratings would so...

Yesterday rapper Bow Wow stood in for Terrance J to guest co-host BET's 106 & Park alongside Rocsi Diaz.             I keep forgetting Lil Bow Wow isn't a lil boy anymore although he technically is still lil. Anywho, I think he'd be a great new host for the show but I'm sure in his and a couple other folks' minds he is far beyond hosting a cable countdown show...especially because he frequents the countdown at times. Does anyone know when Terrance and Rocsi's last days are?

R&B singer Monica and her NBA baller husband Shannon stopped by BET's 106 & Park yesterday to talk about their love for one another, the Wood Star Music Festival and Monica's music. Loved Mo's outfit and make up.

Keyshia's new single, Enough Of No Love ,  featuring Lil Wayne will be featured on her upcoming fifth album Woman To Woman.

Rocsi and Terrance treated Rick Ross and his new album, God Forgives, I Don't, like true urban royalty on yesterday's episode of BET's 106 & Park . I haven't seen that much ass kissing since Debra Lee last stopped by. Anywho, check out the HNIC of MMG on the day of his album release.               Maybe this was Ross' consolation prize for BET allegedly banning his Hold Me Back video.

Although I have DirecTV and haven't physically watched 106 in over a week ( yeah I watch ehhh ) luckily I am able to check BET.com for updates daily. My new young tender crush, Ace Hood has been let go, Meek Mill stopped by to debut his new video, I posted already, Amen featuring Drake. Meek also touched on the controversy the song has caused and even gave an apology to those offended. Have a looksee!             He's so young...I love it!

Al Shearer, known to many as Hits From The Streets , stopped by BET's 106 & Park yesterday reviving his alter ego for BET Awards nominee special (I think there's more to his arrival than that) that was scheduled to premiere right after 106 & Park. Al being the funny guy that he is just had to bring up Rocsi and Eddie Murphy's alleged budding romance...peep the look on Rocsi's face.             I had a feeling that he would mention Reedie's supposed relationship but then again I thought " nahhhhhhhhhh ". Me thinks Hits From the Streets may be gearing up for something more long term with network...especially with Terrance and Rocsi departing. They need to bring back videos...and not just videos chosen by people under the age of 13.

Ever since I stumbled on an episode of 106 & Park I have been kinda sorta tuning in everyday (DVR'ing) ...welllll yesterday Nicki Minaj was in the 106 studios promoting Pink Friday Roman Reloaded in RARE form. I mean the voice was high and Nicki's valley hood chic persona was on 100...it was quite comical to see those around her...Cam'ron, Baby/Birdman, 2 Chainz, Rocsi and Terrance...keep a straight face. I actually watched with 2 others and we were either laughing or staring at one another with the stuck face. check her out in living color...             I think Nicki was a little extra because Lil Kim was on not too long ago and received lots of love...mmmm hmmm. Anywho, Nicki also made a stop over at Power 105.9's The Breakfast Club for an encore performance... Do you agree with the NY Times writer Jon Carmanica's statement that Nicki is one of the most infl...
