Serena Williams won the French Open title Saturday (June 8) over Maria Sharapova only 11 years after her first title win back in 2002. "I think it's unbelievable. Now I have 16 Grand Slam titles. It's difficult for me to speak because I'm so excited." - SW I think it's beyond exciting and historic to see this young African American woman shattering records while having such longevity in her field of sport. This is what young women should aspire to be, not famous or the next Serena Williams, but positive and dedicated. Serena is inspiring young girls far beyond the tennis court and that alone is worth the congratulations. I wish this woman nothing but good things.
