During a recent interview with Rolling Stone R. Kelly let the news slip that he and Mary J. Blige are not only working on a tour together but also a joint album. The singer also divulged that he was recording a song with Mary J. Blige as part of the duo's upcoming King and Queen tour and that he is hoping to do a full album with Blige . Neither Kelly nor Blige have announced specific tour dates. I understand Kells is on a high from the recent success of his Black Panties a; album  which debuted at No. 4 on the charts but he  might  be reaching with the joint album. The tour sounds a  little   shaky  since both artists have had their touring issues but an entire album? Nah... I think what works for Babyface and Toni Braxton 's Love, Marriage and Divorce album is  chemistry .  Chemistry  that exudes past their  personal   relationship (which is an added extra bonus)  that  sounds  effor...

I don't know why people wait until they're 50/60 years old to act a dayum fool... According to the  Battle Creek Enquirer , police were called to the scene at 6.58am where they found the victim along with the knife used in the attack in his apartment.  His 50-year-old former girlfriend was apprehended by officers in her own home in the same complex and was wearing 'blood-splattered clothing' when found.  Blige was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan to undergo surgery and remained in a critical condition on Thursday evening. Detective Sgt. Jim Martens told the Battle Creek Enquirer that the incident occurred when Blige saw his ex letting the air out of his tires.  He reportedly confronted her and the stabbing occurred before each returned to their own apartments.  The detective revealed officers found blood in the snow outside before discovering the victim and attacker each in their own homes. Toni and Babyface at 'A Hollywood Christmas at The Grove' Toni Braxton recorded a rendition of this very holiday classic on her 2001 Christmas album ' Snowflake '. While in preparation to release a duets album, ' Love, Marriage & Divorce ', with her longtime producer and friend Babyface next year this duet is just what the season ordered. Yesterday Miss Braxton and Mr. Edmonds had the pleasure of performing their Christmas duet during a tree lighting ceremony at The Grove in LA. Also in attendance were Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and CeeLo Green among many others.

A trendy Mary J. Blige was spotted in London leaving her hotel on Saturday (June 1) sheer leopard and leather (seems to be a trend) with a very fashionable friend in tow. That lady behind MJB is none other than June Ambrose who also serves as Mary's stylist. June was on hand for the Chime for Change   benefit concert where her other well known client Jay Z performed alongside wife Beyonce who wore leather and sheer on stage. X Factor judge and music mogul L.A. Reid hosted a private book launch party for his wife Erica's new book, The Thriving Child, last night in New York. The book is said to chronicle Erica's journey mothering two children with allergies along with alternative medications and excerpts from celebrity parents. In attendance were Beyonce and Jay Z, along with Tina Knowles and Mary J. Blige among others. I'm getting this book.

I knew this was coming...  If you haven't seen the original video and aren't familiar with the backlash that Mary received  you will definitely need to watch the below original video in order to get the spoof... source: THG I wasn't offended at all by the video, I found it to be quite hilarious. Many African Americans felt that Mary shouldn't have been on top of a table shucking and jiving for fried chicken but I didn't see it that way. The bad part to me was that she was reduced to some low budget shit like this. The spoof!! Hilarious!!! I could have done without the slave scene but nonetheless this was hilarious...did you catch the brothers stepping?! The cliche's were on point!

With all the things Thanksgiving and me being lazy (off work) I wasn't able (didn't feel like it) to blog as I normally am. Hopefully anyone reading my postings today is in as much of a need to catch up as I am...here we go!!! I have yet to listen to Mary's new My Life II album which happens to be the sequel to her much adored first album, My Life. There hasn't been much said about the new album, it is expected to land at No. 6 on the Billboards Charts and to have sold anywhere between 130-140K copies. Anywho, Mary closed off the last of four intimate shows in Atlanta with a couple industry  friends in attendance...Kendu was there as well. No comment on the gray glitter get up.... I see marriage is still suiting Monica well...I would almost like to guess a new stylist has been put on payroll as well.

Serena Williams stopped playing games for a second to attend the Teen Nick Halo Awards...great improvement!!! This just proves that she needs her stylist full time not just for events. Also in attendance was the Mary J. Blige who looked lovely as well as very fit and trim. She just had to bring hood fab Mary out...I'm not mad tho.

I always find it funny when people say couples begin to look alike after a while but in Mary J. Bliges' case I think its true for her and her hubby...check out MJB at Perez Hilton's "One Night In New York City" event last night.
