VIDEO: Beyonce "Drunk In Love" Featuring Jay Z

Image
Oh baybeee ... Now I'm all for Beyonce being a growwwwwwwwn woman and all but I wasn't ready for raunchy Beyonce. Before I had a chance to watch ALL the videos and listen to the songs Bey released to go along with secret Beyonce album I kept hearing folks comparing her to Rihanna but I wouldn't go there until having seen this video...which happens to be one of my tracks off the album. I guess between a world tour and being a mother shooting 17 decent videos was out of this question but this just seemed rushed. I clearly see Rihanna like dancing although I typically love when Bey gets ratchet with her dancing it's simply too much paired with the lyrics. Even the biggest Bey fan can see some resemblance in her dance moves and Rihanna's here...because she was freestyling of course and could dance circles around Rih. I guess I would have rathered seen  more of Jay and Bey doing their all night and less frockling on the beach. It was decent...they worked the...

REVIEW: 'The Best Man Holiday'

The movie was great...I mean great as in I wouldn't change a dayum thing about it GREAT. Terrance Howard brought the comedy and vulgar which gave the movie a more light hearted feel when in actuality the movie was really a real tear jerker BUT I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie...just go see it. Really the movie was great and I find a way to find a snag in almost anything but I REALLY loved this movie so much that I am almost saddened that it was only No. 2 at the box office losing out the No. 1 spot to Thor: The Dark Wolrd ...what the f**k is that?! Although the movie didn't place No. 1, fans showed up. I felt like I was looking for Beyonce tickets while searching for shows that weren't sold out. The lines to find a seat began almost an hour before the movie began, I sat in the third row and loved every minute of it even when all the ladies rows and rows behind me screamed every time Morris Chestnut was shirtless all for the No. 2 spot....

It Happened: The Love Neo Soul Tour

Image
I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Love Neo Soul Tour concert this past Saturday (September 29 th ) at the Filmore in Silver Spring Maryland which featured the soulful sounds of Black Alley , Kindred The Family Soul and Rahsaan Patterson . I got to see all three acts perform lives as well as have few minutes to chat with each. The venue was a beautiful setting for such great talent perform. First to hit the stage was Black Alley , a hip band hailing from Washington DC making all kinds of noise nationwide. With a unique custom sound described by their drummer Danny Henderson , affectionately known to many as Animal ,  as “soul garage” the band is anything but typical DC with their very own unique genre of rock/soul garage/hip hop. The band's Saturday night line up featured some original tunes laced with poetry ballads with references to the legendary Diana Ross as well as some covers, my favorite being We Are Young , by the band's one and only...
