According to Parade 's annual salary survey (not this shit) the attention seeking Miley Cyrus  made a whopping $76.5 million last year. Singer-songwriter  Miley Cyrus,  21, earned a whopping $76.5 million (est.)! After her scandalous appearance on MTV’s Video Music Awards, downloads of her single “Wrecking Ball” shot up 124 percent. Fun fact: At the height of her  Hannah Montana  fame in 2010, Forbes estimated the teen was making $48 million. There's not much to say here but the numbers might be slighty off and I can think of about 20 other folks who should have made this list. Other than that if being a rauchy thirsty copy cat afforded me the luxury of making 75 mil this year then I too would make a fool of myself in front of the entire world with my twerking ass. BTW, Tyler Perry beat out Miley and all the others on the list with $78 mil...go 'head brotha!!

Nia Long has been promoting her new Tyler Perry flick which also stars Perry (act like you know) The   Single Moms Club  like crazy recently. Nia has been caught on more than one occasion dishing the deets on what is was like to kiss Tyler (with the same scripted answer) and lucky for us it's on tape. I know why this is news but then again...why are people even discussing this? The question is borderline rude because this is not a typical question for a non-hott guy (no offense). To me this is more along the lines of "did the kiss feel genuine?" or...Y'ALL know what I'm saying without saying it. Hell I know what these kiss questions are implying without it being said. Arsenio would have been better off asking Tyler's sexual orientation rather than if he got a woody.

I had no clue Tyler Perry and The Big O were gracing the cover of Essence magazine's June issue.   "Where else in the history of our African-American culture have two really, really successful people who can do whatever they want said, 'Let's come together and be even more powerful – let's take it to the tenth power?"  - OW The above quote speaks volumes coming from Oprah as a friend and business partner of Tyler. It also speaks volumes to me as a person aspiring for their kind of success. Get it, with y'all high faluting asses!!!

Tyler Perry's new comedy Peebles  directed by Tina Gordon Chism staring  Craig Robinson, Kerry Washington , David Alan Grier and S. Epatha Merkerson  premiered last night in Hollywood. Along with the beautiful starring cast guests included the HBIC's and who's who of Hollywood making for one beautiful movie premiere. Other notable guests... Peebles hits theaters tomorrow May 10. I'm going to see this just because I'm feeling the distinguished David Alan Grier but can we just salute Miss Carroll for all her elegance, grace and beauty.

Now this is funny. I'm not the biggest Madea fan but The Color Purple is one of my favorite movies and when you add Miss Sophia I'm just always tickled pink.  I can't wait to see what Mr. Perry is serving up over at OWN.

Kim Kardashian hit up the morning talk show circuits this morning over at Good Morning America and Live With Kelly & Michael to promote her new Tyler Perry movie Tempation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor   which is set to premiere tonight in NYC as well. Kimmy switched her outfit for her sit down with Kelly ( Kristin Chenoweth ) & Michael while sticking with her blush and bashful hue. These Louboutins must be the most comfy for Kim during this pregnancy...I don't think I've ever seen her repeat a shoe as much as she has these in the last couple weeks. And speaking of premieres, I forgot to post the Atlanta premiere of  Temptation  last week.

Tyler Perry sure knows to promote a movie...the first voice you here in this preview is none other than Ms. Kim Kardashian. Let me tell you, I cannot WAIT to see this movie. Although Tyler is known for his comedies I think he is a much better drama writer/producer. This movie looks good from the top to the bottom. I've been a fan of Jurnee Smollet since forever just to see her as an adult playing a sultry role like this is beyond exciting suspense. Mr. Tyler picked a wide range of actors, who seem to have meshed well together, to bring this steamy flick to life... and even Kimberly didn't seem too unbelievable as herself with a real job. And just as I have in the past and now I  will be sure to let you guys know when this movie is nearing theatres on March 29, 2013.

A dapper Tyler Perry was spotted on the streets of NYC after his appearance on the Today Show this morning promoting his new action movie Alex Cross where he will play Alex Cross himself. I simply love well tailored casual dress looks such as this blue number Tyler is sporting...very fitting for the occassion. Anywho, Just yesterday Tyler stopped by BET's 106 & Park , just as R&B singer Brandy did, to promote his new project.             Will you be checking out Alex Cross this weekend?

Oprah Winfrey and her OWN network are doing something that I am not surprised at all about. The Big O and OWN are  helping a brother out by giving their dear friend Tyler Perry another chance in the sitcom world (as if he really needed a hand) by partnering with him on two new scripted series in 2013. In case you didn't know Tyler has and has had sitcoms on TBS that have already been cancelled (House of Payne and Meet The Browns) and one (For Better Or For Worse) still in running and will continue to do so without new shows in the future. Both Tyler and Oprah have released statements regarding the joint venture. As I sit here in Atlanta, it's raining an abundant rain. It makes me think of my mother. She loved the rain and I do too. Tyler Perry has snatched off his Madea wigs for a more thrilling masculine role. Mr. Perry will play Alex Cross himself, a detective trying to catch a serial killer who turns his attention on Cross' wife. After Washington DC detective Alex Cross is told that a family member has been murdered, he vows to track down the killer. He soon discovers that she was not his first victim and that things are not what they seem. source The funniest thing about Tyler getting this role was it once belonged to Idris Elba and before them it belonged to Morgan Freeman in Kiss the Girls and Along Came A Spider ....Mr. Cross gets around. Alex Cross is slated to hit theaters October 2012.

I, like many people I know, am not moved by Tyler Perry comedies but I do kinda get into his more dramatic efforts. Anyway, after seeing how caring Tyler has been with the Houston family immediately after Whitney Houston's death and even months after her passing really has me looking past judging this guy on his films solely. Tyler's eulogy at Whitney's funeral not only was highly appropriate and fitting but genuinely moving as well. THEN he goes on to give Bobbi Kristina a role, after she spoke of wanting to act, on his new TBS show For Better or For Worse . Now of course you can say she landed the role because she was Whitney's daughter and he was Whitney's friend but you can also say he wasn't he forced to either. Now with much of Bobbi Kris' life being on display , good and bad, since the passing of her mother she was once again the focal point of a note so good story this week.  Radar Online reported that Bobbi Kris had reportedly stormed off set...

Mr. Perry is on the promotional trail for his upcoming flick Good Deeds, which hits theaters this Friday, and while doing so he'll stop pass the Chelsea Lately Show on Thursday, February 23. Hopefully Chelsea will watch her tone and show some respect to Tyler unlike she does to many of her other guests...I wonder if she has the balls to say some of the things she said to Drake to Tyler? I'll be tuned in.

Tyler Perry held his movie premiere for his latest flick Good Deeds last night in Los Angeles...check out the beautiful cast among other celebs who attended the even. I cannot wait to see this movie I have grown to love Tyler's drama movies more than the comedies. Good Deeds hits theaters on February 24.
