Video: "Alex Cross" Starring Tyler Perry Trailer

Tyler Perry has snatched off his Madea wigs for a more thrilling masculine role. Mr. Perry will play Alex Cross himself, a detective trying to catch a serial killer who turns his attention on Cross' wife.

After Washington DC detective Alex Cross is told that a family member has been murdered, he vows to track down the killer. He soon discovers that she was not his first victim and that things are not what they seem.

The funniest thing about Tyler getting this role was it once belonged to Idris Elba and before them it belonged to Morgan Freeman in Kiss the Girls and Along Came A Spider....Mr. Cross gets around.

Alex Cross is slated to hit theaters October 2012.
