In case you didn't know (many didn't) Ciara released an album last week named after her mother, Jackie. Although Ciara has been receiving a lot of press lately for her personal life I for one didn't see much of her promoting the album. I didn't buy the album (I am now) but I was rooting for CiCi on this one. I saw ONE interview on Dish Nation where she talked about the album and how she felt it was her best body of work as she did again at Power 99s's Rise and Grind Morning Show recently where she spoke about her low album sales for Jackie 's debut week. “Of course, you would hope for more. I didn't know Ciara was really getting married. Like really to the point someone would put her on the cover of a magazine devoted to all things wedding... like really . I guess the 15 ct engagement ring kinda sorta solidifies things. Inside the magazine CiCi talks wedding details, love and motherhood among other topics of choice. Wedding style: "My everyday style is what I call 'tomboy chic,'" Ciara tells us. "But for my wedding, I'm going to do elegance with a little edge."  Realizing Future was thee ONE: "Very early on. Future has been running his mouth a whole lot with Sway lately promoting his new album ' Hones t' but that's not a bad thing...for me. In two recent interviews with Sway Future has been very open with his love life which just so happens to feature Ciara . Check out the 3:00 mark where Future talks about getting CiCi's drawls and how long it took. In a more intimate interview Future spoke with Sway about Ciara's past and their now which includes his kids and their mothers and excludes her exes. Someone get them some cough drops! Interesting listen regarding Beyonce and Future's songs... Future seems like one of those guys you can sit on the stoop with and just listen to because he dishes. He's semi messy but the realness blurs that meaningless fact. Future kinda sexy...don't judge me!!

Kim Kardashian was called to the Thailand sand recently for a photo shoot which called for her ass cheeks to be exposed accessorized with mostly sand. Now I call Kim's ass near perfect because I see not one dimple, ripple or mark on that perfectly rounded derriere. I also say near perfect because I feel like the majority of Kim's ass is real or should I say was real until she picked up her hobby of plastic surgery. If you're someone like Kenya Moore who has a janky ass real or not do you simply marvel at an ass like Kim's or simply fire your surgeon? You don't see good enhanced booties like you use to...except Khloe Kardashian 's. That thang looks real deal real so you know Kim handed over the referral. BTW, however she did it Kim's pre-baby bod is back or perhaps better now. Speaking of singing Kim's praises, have you heard Kanye West and Future 's new collabo " I Won "? Ciara from the A got together with her Hollywood besties to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her son (the gifts were all of blue hue) with a WeHo baby shower. Ciara looked dayum near angelic in a Mrs. Roper inspired moo moo with her hair partially swept up. On hand to celebrate with Ciara most notably were Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony   who didn't attend Kim's shower last year because she was in Las Vegas filming Think Like A Man Too .... mmm hmmm . Also on hand was Kris Jenner who I think is secretly managing (consulting) Ciara and Naya Rivera . Kris and friends even made it to the head table. I hope those other ladies are the baby's Nanas. Also on hand was the Daddy-to-be Ciara's fiance Future who is also from Atlanta. I'll wait for the more genuine ATL shower... Anywho, Ciara looked absolutely beautiful!!

Rumors have been swirling since Ciara 's quickie engagement to rapper/producer  Future back in October of last year that the songstress was expecting her first child with her beau. Well today after months of speculation and an abundance of free press Ciara confirmed the news during an appearance on ABC's The View...about 5 seconds before the show went off. Alright so what she went on the show just before the credits rolled, I guess it's the fact that she went on The View and announced this news (we all speculated/knew) that's gonna be beneficial to her. I guess a People or Us Weekly cover was out of the question... Anywho, babies are such a blessing that maybe this was the piece of the puzzle she was missing in her life. Who knows, let's hope she blows up and lands a Weight Watchers deal or something and her career sky rockets. If done right, this could be the biggest deal in her career. Congrats, Ciara...you look gorg!!

Ciara spent most of yesterday showing  off her engagement ring from her now fiance Future. The first was a photo via Instagram and a bunch at a birthday celebration in Houston at Moet Rose Lounge. Ciara was also showing off her tummy in a sheer Alon Livne gown amid rumors that she is expecting. If this ain't the hauteness I don't know what is!!! Hopefully all this engagement shucking and jiving as well as the not so subtle attention E! is giving her spins itself into a lucrative deal for CiCi. Now the shade...I know Future is hot right now and making some touring and featuring coins but is it enough to purchase a $15 mil rang? I'm not hating I just don't know if this was a wise investment at such an early time in his career. Let's be honest, he may have to support Ciara pretty soon.

The Associated Press is breaking this news... Ciara's future is Future: The R&B singer and the rapper-producer are engaged. Future surprised the Grammy-winner with a 15-carat diamond ring over the weekend, their publicist, Chris Chambers, told The Associated Press on Sunday night. She was already celebrating her 28th birthday in New York when he proposed. Future and Ciara have been dating for a year. No wedding date has been set. Future is also a producer who has collaborated with Rihanna and his future wife. He's currently on tour with Drake. Besides the recent hit "Body Party," Ciara's hits include "Goodies," ''Promise" and "Like a Boy." So not only is CiCi sporting an engagement that sounds very similar to Kim Kardashian's but she is also confirming the news via mega news outlets... .hmmmm . In the cover story for The Source magazine Future opened up again about his relationship with Ciara this time citing her on-going unknown beef with Rihanna as a possible issue with collaborating further with Rihanna. "We never shot a video, we never performed it. I don’t know whether it was because of that situation or if just the time hasn’t come up.” I figured this had to be hella awkward for Future being in the middle of  such silly back and forth while he is in a relationship with one party and has a very buzz worthy track (" Loveeee Song ") with the other. Hell I know regular people who require more loyalty for less meaningful things so I can imagine the rock and hard place Future is in. Ciara's new boo ( feeaunsay ) Future has been receiving some pretty shady press this week. It started over the weekend in Las Vegas where he was a no show at club Pulse and now T.I. is low key stating that Future removed himself from the  America's Most Wanted Tour headlined by Tip and Lil Wayne for unknown reasons. What could have been the reason for Future not wanting to tour with two of hip hop's leading acts? Hopefully no one blames Ciara for this as well.

I'm so over these two. Future was supposed to perform at Las Vegas nightclub Pulse after the Mayweather/Guerrero fight this past Saturday (May 4) but never showed up due to transportation conflicts per club owner and promoter. I'd much rather hear about Ciara's fifth studio album which has been renamed ' Ciara ' from ' One Woman Army ' and moved up to a June 4 release just this week. Instead, I'm hearing about Future and his talents, her relationship with 50 Cent ( she talked about it ) and Rihanna . I don't know which was worse, the topics of choice or the sideline commentary from the interviewers. This MTV Week In Jams interview was wayyyy too messy for an atrist like Ciara...she should know better. Where is Ciara's publicist to demand no more Rihanna questions or times really that hard? That was messy....

Power 105.1's DJ Prostyle should feel honored by the display of love and camaraderie he received by attendance alone for his birthday bash earlier this week (April 16) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC.
