Stewart, an ESPN SportsCenter anchor, who is currently battling cancer and has been since 2007. He was awarded the Jim my V Award for his courageous fight against cancer which was presented by Kiefer Sutherland who just so happens to star in Stewart's favorite television show 24 .

How rad is it that 25 year old Rihanna was presented the first ever Icon Award at this past Sunday's 2013 American Music Awards? I've become so use to Rih's off the clock shenanigans that I think my judgement has been clouded on just how successful at 25 this Barbadian beauty is. And speaking of beauty, because I opted out of watching this year's AMAs I didn't get to see a flawless Rihanna on the red carpet rocking a doobie accessorized by bobby pins and a barely there two piece black number. How many people do you know that could have pulled the look off...effortlessly like Rih did? The effortless factor is all in the fact that she wore her hair in a wrap WITH the bobby pins showing!! Anywho, Rihanna has numerous number singles, platinum albums, sold out world tours and even shattered social media records...why not give her this honor? Is there anything other than age stopping her from being worthy os this honor? We've been conditioned to believ...

MC Lyte , who typically announces awards at BET awards shows nowadays, was honored this weekend at the 8th annual BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta with the I Am Hip Hop Award . I've looked and must say BET is doing a great job at keeping the video footage under wraps until the show premieres Tuesday, October 15. I look forward to seeing a pioneer in hip hop such as Lyte, who was the frst female rapper to release a full hip hop album in 1988, being honored and saluted by Queen Latifah and handed her award by Eve . Congrats!!

I was just talking the other day about how much I loved TLC and wondered what it would be like to see T-Boz and Chilli in concert as a duo rather than a trio and now we have the MTV International Video Music Awards to show us. TLC was honored over the weekend in Japan with the Legend Award at the awards show where they also performed. Love them! Kristen Stewart was not only crowned Glamour magazine's best dressed women last year but she snagged the honor again this year in the ' 50 Best Dressed Women ' issue hitting stands in June. Because I don't want to flat out say Kristen is undeserving of this honor and my memory isn't the best at times I chose to do a little research on Kristen's closet life just to make sure I wasn't tripping. Need I go on into her personal style without a stylist? I still don't see how Glamour dubbed Kristen's  ‘ personal rock-chick style ’ (their words not mine) thee best dressed but she got it. The fact the Kristen cheated on her boyfriend Rob Pattinson with a married man last year alone should disqualify for her for the running way before her actual fashion.
