Angie Martinez publicly made her first response as to why she left Hot 97 after 15 years for rival station Power 105.1 and sister company Miami's The Beat 103.5 last week. In the interview with her new colleagues The Breakfast Club Angie speaks on her decision and why it was best for her family as well as why she's not disloyal. I was right yesterday!! Angie Martinez abruptly resigned from her role as Hot 97's first lady after 15 years yesterday to join the station's rival station Power 105.1 FM which hosts shows like The Breakfast Club, DJ Clue and DJ Prostyle . Not to be forgotten even though it's not as juicy as the Power 105 move but Angie will also be able to be heard on Miami's The Beat on 103.5 FM as well. Angie will claim the 2 pm slot on Power 105.1 and next week (June 24) in the AM you can catch her on The Breakfast Club for a little family get together/chit chat.

Today I resigned from HOT97. I am grateful to the Emmis family for my time with the company and the immeasurable way that it has shaped my life. We made history together in so many ways and I will cherish those memories and my friendships forever. This was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways. During the interview Solange  chopped it up with Ebro and Rosenberg about her Nas obsession, relationship with Jay Z , her recent gig at a laundry mat and most notable her sister Beyonce 's (ironic, huh?) recent run in with a fan which almost caused her to be yanked into a crowd of her fans during a Brazil concert last weekend. Yesterday we found out that Mister Cee was yet again  seeking out  a prostitute making the reveal his fourth public dealing with situation. AUDIO: Mister Cee Exposed AGAIN With Transgender Prostitute Later in the day Mister Cee resigned from his duties at Hot 97 yet it was this morning that he admitted to his personal issues (receiving fellatio from transgender prostitutes) on the radio. BTW, what Ebro calls a second time is actually his second time talking about the subject not his public run-ins. I commend him for coming clean yet I feel the way that this is coming out, via the radio, is simply an attempt to distance the DJ from the station even with the support of his colleagues.

Miley Cyrus is yet again single-handedly (with the help of a few rappers) tried to take over the urban market with her presence this time stopping by Hot 97 studios to sit down with Ebro , Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg . My gosh this girl is freakin' gorgeous!! Why is Miley promoting so heavily without a release date? Is ratchet Miley a summer thing or an urban market catcher THEN on the other fans? Anywho, where's K. Foxx ? I heard she was fired but her face is still on the intro. Oh BTW, I though Ebro hated all fuckery? I guess Miley gets a pass... I've never really been big on the Summer Jam scene nor have I ever posted that much about the annual concert thrown by NYC radio station Hot 97 and this year was no different. I will say however the Nicki Minaj fall out from last year and her reconciliation with the station this year have kept me in the know as far as when the event kicks off but other than that nothing. This weekend marked the 20th anniversary of the famed event Miss Minaj along with hip hop's top acts made appearances this past Sunday which seemed to go on without a hitch. While I haven't posted any of the many videos here I will post a few that have been getting a little buzz for the viewing pleasure of liked minded individuals such as myself. I think most of us have heard about the Joe Budden altercation with cast mate Consequence at the Love & Hip Hop Season 3 reunion earlier this week. Joe Budden alleged that Consequence sucker punched him while smoking with Tahiry during a reunion break  then Tahiry in turn hit Consequence and he ran. I have no idea where this stemmed from because Joe calmly checked him weeks ago and everything seemed squashed but it's being reported that things got heated during the taping of the reunion. The below video is the same day that a calm yet bat shit crazy Joe Budden came to Hot 97 to confront Consequence  and (and Jen chimed in) on a few things he heard Consequence had said about him. Well after explaining to Joe, Consequence went on to do some more explaining to the Hot 97 crew about why he's so dayum wild and why he went of like he did on air with The Breakfast Club . Consequence even apologized for the things he said about Kim Kardashian while on air and cleared the record as to who paid for his teeth. He's still stirring up shit with this interview so now we have to be on the look out for the next explanation and apology video.

I try, I really do, to get Tyler, the Creator's music because I think personally he's pretty cool and hilarious when not crossing the line but I just don't get it. Anywho, this video over at HOT 97 is beyond hilarious (to me) as Tyler talks about his first trip to the Grammys, Frank Ocean, and racism all while watching Maury with his homeboys Jasper and Taco.
