Kanye West did not accompany his G.O.O.D Music artist to 106 & Park yesterday but his presence was felt through recorded footage. West spoke via video about, what else, the Cruel Summer project which included speaking on the process of making the collaborative album.

Obviously some of the crew is missing but Teyana Taylor, Pusha T , Common , Big Sean and the dude in the red jacket ( Cyhi The Prynce ) provided quite a bit of G.O.O.D comedy. The biggest kick out of the show for me wasn't Pearl Jam hitting the stage with Jay Z nor Odd Future yet it was President Barack Obama 's prerecorded video specifically for the event. After Jay performed one of my favorite songs, Public Service Announcement , Saturday at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia our cooler than cool President, Barack Obama, made an impromptu appearance on the jumbotron surprising those in the crowd and watching online. The President's first word's were “ Thank you Jay-Z for letting me crash your show ”  then he went on and urged the crowd to vote in this year's Presidential Election. Now this is how you do ratchet tastefully. I like the video more than I do the actually song. I am convinced Kanye West 's soul mission in EVERYTHING he does is to be different. From repetitive leather pants in the summer to dating Kim Kardashian ...what you won't do he WILL. Only Kanye would chose an album cover as such...you know his G.O.O.D Music artist had no say so in this. source I don't get it, but OK. G.O.O.D Music's compilation album is set to be released September 4th.

Kanye West and his band of goons were given the opportunity to grace the cover of the August/September issue of Complex magazine for our viewing pleasure. Where's Teyanna Taylor? I'm guessing we can gain a little more insight to G.O.O.D Music's collaborative debut album, Cruel Summer ,  dropping September 4 from this issue of Complex Magazine among a few other thangs ... This one is sure to be a strip club favorite. 2 Chainz feat. Kanye West "Birthday Song" (CLEAN) by Def Jam Recordings I can definitely see this as a club banger and an instant fan favorite. 2 Chainz has once again managed to record a catchy yet upbeat track. I must say I am loving Kanye's intros as of lately. From Mercy to this song the bass thumping beats which precede his flow intertwine perfectly with his verses and definitely separates his flow from others on tracks.

Check out Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean and 2 Chainz, along with Teyana Taylor and Kid Cudi hyping in the background, in the much anticipated video of "Mercy" . I love the simplicity yet grandness of the parking garage in black and white along with the leather and all black attire. The charismatic feel of this video is what I like the most. Nothing seems forced or put on. There aren't any scantly clad women or strategically placed materialistic items...just artists bringing art form to their music. I see you Kanye... AND the the G.O.O.D Music team. I wonder how much longer it can be asked "what exactly does Teyana Taylor do?", if anybody can bring out the talent in her I believe it's Kanye Job well done by director, Nabil.
