Prince is gearing up to release his 38th studio album " hopefully soon ". The album will be titled HITNRUN and has been confirmed by his girl group 3rdEyeGirl via the BBC . The girls spoke of Prince's newest body of work as: "It's phenomenal, there are so many hits on this album. It's super experimental," they told 6 Music. "Super hardcore Prince fans that know every song he's ever recorded - we refer to them as 'The Purple Collective' or 'The Purple Army' - this album is absolutely for them, because it's super funky.   "It's weird, there's a lot of experimental sound. It's just hit after hit and definitely caters to those fans who just love to hear what Prince has to say, rather than wanting to always hear that classic Purple Rain Prince sound." The only glimpse at what is to be expected of  Prince's new album came earlier this month when he released " Hardrocklover ". ...

Prince has decided to once again bless the world with new music but this time he's not doing just one album yet he will be releasing TWO albums this September. The first album, ART OFFICIAL AGE, is a classic Prince album featuring funky soulful new work by the musical icon, including single “Breakfast Can Wait”; the release will mark his 33rd studio album (and 37th overall). The other album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM, was made in collaboration with his new funk rock band, 3rdEyeGirl. Both albums will be released on September 30th.   The albums will both be released on Warner Bros. Records, which marks Prince’s return to the label who signed the artist way back in 1976 on the strength of a demo tape. The relationship lasted for 20 years, until 1996’s Chaos and Disorder. During his long feud with the label, he stopped using his name in favor of an unpronounceable symbol and rushed out mediocre albums to meet contractual obligations. Prince marked the end of his relationship with Warn...

Dearly Beloved, It was 30 year ago to THIS day in 1984 that Prince released his epic world renowned sixth album ' Purple Rain' . ' Purple Rain' is of course the soundtrack to Prince's ' Purple Rain' film which was loosely based on his life. Prince was able to shell out 5 hit singles from this album and went on to sell over 20 million copies. The best notable mention about ' Purple Rain ' is that to THIS day you can still play the album and jam to it like it's the first time " When Doves Cry " ever blessed your ears. We need more works like it!!

Prince stopped by The Arensio Hall Show last night as expected for his takeover. Being the only guest of the evening Prince was able to get candid with fans and Arsenio as well as perform with his bands The New Power Generation and 3RDEYEGIRL .

Prince will not only appear on The Arsenio Hall Show tonight but he will the show's only guest (along with his all female band). Prince sat down to answer questions from his fans in Arsenio's audience. They asked him about his pet peeves and chores he does around the house. You won't believe the things people to do Prince and what he'll make you for breakfast--it's not pancakes. Watch Prince take over The Arsenio Hall Show tonight.

Check out Janelle Monae discussing her second studio album, The Electric Lady , which dropped this past Tuesday as well as witness a singing telegram sent to her by none other than Prince ...one of her biggest fans.

And all this time I was thinking Prince didn't have a sense of humor. Some of you may remember Prince's cover from Dave Chappelle 's Chappelle Show where comedian Charlie Murphy , Eddie Murphy 's brother, tells one of his few Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories a story of when he met and played Prince in a basketball game he himself called "shirts against the blouses" where afterwards they all ate pancakes for breakfast. Today an awesome musician was born 55 years ago with the envious ability to never age. It's tradition around these parts to honor those whose birthdays I remember and luckily for me I remembered   Prince's birthday which gives me a reason to post and listen to my all time favorite song in the WORLD butttttttttt I can't do that because Prince has taken down all his music on the net. Soooooooooooo let's get the gifs going... Happy birthday Prince Rogers Nelson , in your honor I shall get my groove on in some fashion today.

I actually watched the Billboard Awards last night. Well not all of it, some of it, which is a feat in it's own. Not only did the iconic  Prince receive the Billboard Icon Award last night presented to him by Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae but he also closed the show with a medley of songs while sporting a Gumby suit and super black afro with an all girl band 3rdEyeGirl . BTW, this was your Song of the Day. Enjoy your day loves!!

I'm sure this will be removed in like 5 seconds so enjoy while you can... Someone let me know when Prince is through with teasing us...I need an album and a tour, good Sir!

It's Fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Enjoy your weekend loves!!!

I was soooooooooo heated while watching the BET Awards when that dayum knocked up A. Keys chose to muck up my beloved Adore You by Prince and its nothing anyone in this world not even Prince himself could tell me to believe Prince wasn't too thrilled either. that's dayum classic Alicia...I wish Mashonda or Prince would have Kanye'd her right when she hopped up on that piano.
