RIP Rodney King

Rodney King, at the age of 47, was found by his fiance at the bottom of a pool at their residence in Rialto on yesterday morning. The cause of his death is unknown but police suspect that no foul play occurred.

King unintentionally became famous and legendary after a routine traffic stop turned into a high speed chase where he was brutally beaten by police officers in 1991 upon his capture. The world came to know King through the footage of his assault which was caught on camera by a bystander. After the acquittal of the four officers that were responsible for King's beating the infamous LA riots ensued.

King's legacy will remain a pivotal part of our history...RIP.
