VIDEO: "The Houstons: On Our Own" Episodes 1 & 2
Last night Lifetime premiered the first two episodes of The Houstons: On Our Own showing the family just three months after the passing of Whitney Houston.
I have to question Pat Houston's motives watching this show. At some points she seems wholeheartedly concerned about Bobbi Kristina and others she comes off as an enabler. The drinking was just horrible to film and deliver to the world THREE MONTHS after her mother passed. I seriously had to ask myself "why am I watching this?". In my opinion the influence in just about all the scenes on the first two episodes. Instead of wasting time orchestrating scenes for this show they should be seeking help for Bobbi Kris. At one point I wondered whether she was on some type of medication because she seemed so mellow and slowwwwwwwwwwwww.
And why was Bobbi Kris' photo last on the intro? Yeah I'm petty!
And speaking of petty, I really think it was piss poor for Bobbi to sport her mother's ring as an engagement ring...how drunk was she when Nick proposed? She wants to call Nick her fiance yet she refers to Whitney as "our mother". I was glad to finally get a concrete explanation of how Nick came into this family but his and Bobbi's relationship is still creep.
And what the hell was Gary sipping going on his "whit boy" rant? Seriously?!
This show is just too soon...especially when the family in such disarray as well.
