VIDEO: Kelly Rowland Gets Emotional On Stage While Performing "Dirty Laundry"
Kelly Rowland and The Dream have taken their Lights Out Tour on the road for a few stops although the majority of the tour has been rescheduled. While in DC on May 26 Miss Kelly became emotional while singing her new tell-all track song "Dirty Laundry".
During the song as she began to sing about how an ex lover turned her against "her sister" (Beyonce) Kelly became so overwhelmed that she began to cry and couldn't finished the lyrics all while her fans cheered her on.
Kelly later told a local DC radio station that WKYS that the experience was "weird".
I was singing and talking about what happened, and for a moment, it was like that crowd wasn't even there. And then when the music stopped...I was like "You are live Kel. Calm down." And I had to calm down, and then I had to breathe. You get lost...and it's nothing wrong with getting lost. But that was weird.Source
Many people have bashed Kelly for singing about her relationship/friendship with Beyonce in "Dirty Laundry" citing that she's using Bey to sell albums yet no one had an issue with Kelly opening up about a past abusive relationship. Although I feel like this song is probably very therapeutic yet still challenging for Kelly to channel she's more than likely going to be accused of faking her emotions on stage because the lyrics at question just happened to be about Beyonce. You can't win for losing...dayum'd if you do, dayum'd if you don't.
BTW, I think the band should have kept on playing to mask the situation at hand...
