Anna Wintour Gives Reasoning Behind Kimye Cover of Vogue

Anna Wintour, the EIC of Vogue magazine, has been in the press lately just as much as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Actually most of the press featuring Anna involves Kanye's alleged attempts to get Kim, who Anna was said to have disliked, on the cover of the fashion bible.
Well they made it, and now Anna has been reduced to not only explain why they're on the cover but she also fibbed a bit (IMO) about the rumors of her not wanting Kim on the cover.
“Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it. I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played byKim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?),” the 64-year-old editor in chief wrote in her letter from the editor.
As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue‘s cover,” Anna added. “He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true.”
"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now."
This is not how talk when there is a possibility for the one thing you most passionately want. Anna isn't making matters any better with this explanation especially since rumors of her not caring for the Kardashians have been around before Kimye went public.
At the end of the day, Kim got the cover and no matter what they say Anna is still the HBIC...and still doesn't like Kim...probably.
