'Scandal' Clothing Line Coming To The Limited
I have a aging infatuation with The Limited brand as my mother use to (and still does) love the store. So much so that she would splurge on her mini me (that's me) at The Limited Too more often than she did for herself at the parent store.
Anywho fast forward to today...
Everyone's favorite television clean up woman, Kerry Washington by way of Olivia Pope, has partnered not only partnered with The Limited but the show's costume designer Lyn Paolo for an exclusive line inspired by Scandal's leading lady.
"By creating a line inspired by the show, we are introducing a collection that embodies the elegance and power of the Scandal aesthetic for real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas," Washington (aka Olivia Pope) said in a press release. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it."
“We weren’t inspired by any designers in particular because they are all original pieces that are authentic to the character and the world of the show. Personally, I have tons of favorite designers. I don’t gravitate toward any one designer because I think of fashion as the costume of the everyday woman. The Armani house was one of the first ones to dress me. Jason Wu is a dear friend of mine, as is Tory Burch. I am a big fan of Alexander Wang.” - Kerry Washington for WWD
"The whole team took great care in creating a collection that reflects Olivia Pope's unique style. We believe the collection tells a story of confidence and professional sophistication as well as maintaining a strong feminine point of view," Paolo said in a press release. "I am so excited and hopeful that our Gladiators are as excited about the collection as we are; it has been such tremendous fun and such an honor to design for the amazing characters that Shonda Rhimes has created and now to help make their style accessible to all."
Are you looking forward to The Limited Scandal Line? With a price range from 49 bucks to $248 I'm open to the idea.
You will be able to see outfits like these when the collection hits stores this Fall.
