Eddie Murphy Clowns Bill Cosby During Award Acceptance
While being awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for Humor by the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC last week (Oct 18) Eddie Murphy took the time out to make a few jokes about fellow award recipient Bill Cosby. Something he hasn't done in over 20 years...stand up comedy!!
What's funny is that Murphy declined to impersonate Mr. Cosby during the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special back in February of this year. Citing that he did not want to kick him when he was done to which Mr. Cosby applauded him. Really good on Eddie's part being as though Cosby publicly ridiculed him in the past for his comedic style.
However, while being honored by fellow comedians like Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Tracy Morgan last week Eddie had a change of heart.
It wasn't that bad, was it?
We can all catch Eddie's tribute on PBS on November 23.
